BLUE FLAME FURNACE EVENTS
Blue Flame held a series of events called 'Furnace' from 2012 to 2014 in Inverness, Scotland. The vision was to create a space for freedom to invite and explore the presence of God.
We felt God was leading us to make space to explore the value of the arts & creativity within worship & prayer. But it went beyond this...the Furnace was to be a place we learned to bring great expectation. After all, anything can happen in the cloud!
Like so many Blue Flame events, Furnace sessions were held in Kings - Inverness: a church actively exploring a depth in the presence of God, home to many 'Blue Flames'.

Freedom to Explore
We determined not to make this a predesigned Christian worship session, resisting the urge to fall back on the familiar. The musicians, like everyone else, were given the invitation to come off the page & follow the Holy Spirit.
From these time of exploration we frequently took this creativity & presence into mission.
The Furnace Vision eventually developed into the current Tabernacle vision with a national creative family.
In 2015 the Tabernacle Vision was born & in 2015 & 2016 we hosted 'Tabernacle Spaces' in various places in Scotland including CLAN (Christians Linked Across the Nation) Events. Our pioneering team led others into a deeper connection with God through diverse & exploratory creativity. No two Tabernacle events are ever the same!
The Creative Arts
Furnace included an invitation to various artists to have a space of exploration - a place to bring their gifts before God & ask Him to connect with them in a new way; a place to expect something different. At the same time, God was pouring new revelation out about the value of His artists & the spectrum of creativity. Many of these artists have developed in exceptional ways on the journey over the years. They continue to inspire & lead others into that same freedom that was extended to them in the early days of Furnace.
